Aralar SAC

A mountain revealed through light and shadow

In this Aralar Special Area of Conservation (SAC), the landscape unfolds amidst deep beech forests and limestone peaks where the rock forms a relief full of crevices, chasms and silence. Here, the atmosphere shifts between the lush greenery of spots like Putxerri and the dramatic cliffs of the Malloak, where birds find refuge. It is an environment that invites you to look without haste, where the traces of grazing, water and the mountains form a landscape that reveals itself little by little.

Aralar SAC general information

This area is situated in the region of the Sakana- , and forms part of the Natura 2000 Network as a Special Area of Conservation.
