Cáseda Bridge

Spanning the Aragón, this bridge crosses the river whilst gathering the invisible traces of those who have crossed it. In Cáseda, its presence is perceived as a firm line between two banks which, rather than opposing one another, acknowledge each other. Matter remains whilst everything flows, and the identity of the place is built upon that contrast.

Here, water and stone converse unhurriedly. As the light descends, it transforms the surface into a reflection, and the bridge ceases to be merely a thoroughfare, becoming instead a place to pause, where history is sensed rather than explained.
